Further addenda (I'm cis, but grew tiddy over time, just like you)
-While you're growing boobs, you'll change bra sizes frequently, try to review what size bra you're wearing every 6 months or so... https://twitter.com/DamselDystopia/status/1352593968119377921?s=19
-A good fitting bra should do up on the loosest size of the back size (gives it leeway for when the elastic goes a bit), your boobs should fit in the cups and if you have a double boob effect when wearing a shirt, your cups are too small, it should sit comfortably between boobs
-You're almost certainly wearing a back size too big and a cup too small, most boob-havers do this
-You don't need to wash your bras particularly frequently and it prolongs their life if you don't
-Also, this is crucial, TRY ON BRAS. Most online shops will accept returns, and a good thing to do is try on the same bra in a few sizes because they vary from brand to brand. e.g. if you were a 38B, try your choice in that size, as well as a 36C, 38C and 36D.
-Plunge bras are cute and sexy but usually less supportive and comfortable than something with a fuller cup, so save them for special occasions and when you're wearing something really low cut
-Strapless bras are terrible, just don't bother, no shame in visible bra strap
-When choosing a bra, look at the shape of the bit that sits between your tits. The whole weight of your baps will have contact with your sternum here. Make sure it's not just a small point, because take it from me, that's agony.
-Your back size is less likely to change than your cup, but it isn't permanently stable, so I really really cannot emphasise enough to try on different back sizes occasionally and be aware it might go *down* as your fat and muscle distribution changes
-A lot of bras are designed by cishet men based on what they find sexy rather than what's comfortable or supportive. Save these bras for the bedroom only, literally change into them for sex and otherwise do your norks a favour and wear something that actually works
YES THIS. The cup on a 36C is about the same as a 34D or a 38B - so if the cup is about the right size but the back isn't right, remember to go up or down a cup size too https://twitter.com/zhinxy_vs_media/status/1352608967843840003?s=19
-you might need to experiment with styles; non wired ones are great for a lot of people, and it doesn't necessarily make a difference to support or how your baps look https://twitter.com/msamandajade/status/1352611780154056708?s=19
(Personally I wear wires because I've never found a non wired one that works for me, and I find the underwires perfectly comfortable in a bra that actually fits)
