Nobody who believes Jesus Christ is Lord and that He died for their sins would be comfortable in sin EVEN IF they APPEAR to be comfortable in their sin.
EVERYONE who comes to Christ THROUGH FAITH alone is given a new heart that is predisposed to righteousness

This means that anything a believer does that is not righteous will result in conviction from their new heart (Holy Spirit) to turn to righteousness BECAUSE they are righteous
So even if a believer wanted to sin in the moment, it won't be long until they feel convicted

We as Christians are very quick to say that another believer who appears "comfortable" in their sin is not a believer but we NEVER stop and think "Is this person comfortable in sin or are they in a battle that no one knows about?"
A lot of believers secretly battle with certain sins habitually but once again NO ONE who has come to Christ through faith would be comfortable EVEN IF they APPEAR comfortable
Only the person knows whether they are comfortable or not and in the case that person is a believer THEY ARE NOT comfortable because they have a new heart in Christ
They will ALWAYS have the feeling that they are more than the sin they are committing but they feel like they

cannot overcome the sin, identify themselves with it and carry on in the midst of their conviction toward righteousness from their new heart.
They are probably in isolation trying to find ways to stop sinning and overcome it but you wouldn't know that

So instead of branding these people as "lukewarm" or "false converts" let's do what Paul did to the churches in Corinth, Galatia, Colossae etc.
Let us admonish them in light of who they truly are in Christ. Let us remind them that BECAUSE they believe that they have been made dead to sin and freed from its shackles. That BECAUSE they believe they in union with God. That BECAUSE they believe they can overcome all sin
A believer struggling with sin doesn't need reminding that they are struggling with sin. They want the solution and the solution is the truth of the Gospel; so preach it.
