When I started work at 15 I was told at 60 I would receive a state pension in return for paying N.I. every week then in 1990 they changed it to 66 I like many others did not receive any official notification........

Lets be clear the Tories were perfectly aware that it would have cost each woman a huge monthly payment to create a private pension pot in the time left to the 1950's women before 60 many of whom had minimum wage jobs so it was totally beyond them then the pandemic struck....
Tragically many of the 1950's women have died during the Covid outbreak without seeing a single penny of their state pensions George must be so proud of his actions.
Now each state pension for 1950's women would be in the region of ÂŁ48/ÂŁ50k in TOTAL for the 6 YEARS is about half ONE YEARS salary for an mp & a fraction of a minister's salary for a year so to them its chicken feed but to me & many other 1950's women it means a great deal......
Both Tory & Labour parties were complicit in this & its no accident that the IDS & the Tories are planning to hike the state pension retirement age to 75 the question is why? what don't they want the public to know maybe this

Tories are trying to make it so that people qualify for a state pension for a shorter time but pay in for longer that should concern everybody who pays N.I.
We also have the lowest paid state pensions in Europe yet supposedly we are one of the richer nations!

Ministers, Shadow Ministers, ex-mps & current mps from ALL don't answer the polite tweets or official emails from 1950's women.
It seems that our arrogant mp's/ministers have forgotten they are highly paid ELECTED PUBLIC SERVANTS who serve the will of the people.
