Why the #artmarket based on #NFTs is currently largely dominated by #figurative #art (and why it will continue to be):
2
The #NFTs market will largely develop in the #videogame industry where there are already collaborations with various #artists.
3
#Figurative #art finds its natural outlet in a market dominated by the quality of goods and services driven by quality and #innovation and where the whole environment revolves around the user #experience.
4
High quality #figurative #art is not in auge in this particular historical moment because it didn't match with the logic of the #contemporaryart market.
5
To make well made #figurativeart requires a huge amount of time, but the #artmarket needs quantity, not quality to generate the largest income.
6
In my humble opinion, #figurative art is the only #MODERN art. The other types of arts are only #CONTEMPORARY until these will melt in time into the history of art.
7
#art will never stop to be produced and read by mankind.
8
#Figurative art is the most pure art, will never disappear and will be forever perpetrated in time from generation to generation.
9
It has been like this since our ancient ancestors traced the first #signs on the walls of the caves up to the present days, there is no reason to think that this vein of the #figurative genre could have an end one day.
10
The gerontocratic and elitist aspect that determines the trends of a #contemporary art market as an end in itself are unhinged by the innovation of the #blockchain expressed through the #NFTs ...
11
... returning to an artistic quality guided by rationality expressed through its multiple seductive and infinite forms declensions.
12
The trend seems clear enough to me, even if today the #contemporaryart market is dominated
by the process of creation and validation of #artworks very similar to the process of creation and validation of #banknotes.
13
In conclusion, a small question / provocation: it is therefore legitimate to ask whether it's also for this reason that the first NFT claimed by @Sothebys is a non-figurative @muratpak?
14
(Preventive response to criticism: NO, even if I am a #figurative artist I am NOT biased. I love everything that is well thought out and well done, including - when this happens - even the #abstraction of #figures and #concepts.)
