Since I was appointed as the new UK Envoy for Girls’ Education, I’ve been getting up to speed on the latest policy and ideas.

I’ll be sharing a #THREAD of what I’m reading, watching or listening to. I’d love to hear some of your suggestions too.
Top of my list, this great report from @REAL_Centre Cambridge written for the Platform for Girls Education launched by @FCDOGovUK making the case for 12 years of quality education for girls.

And it’s not just education experts who want to see more profile and priority for girls’ education. This piece from @TheEconomist last month shows that when we invest in girls, everyone benefits. But worryingly, #COVID19 is putting that in jeopardy: https://econ.st/363uM3V
Most importantly, in this job, I’m going to be listening to girls and young women from all around the world.

And it turns out if you do listen to them, they have some pretty smart ideas for what needs to change. Here’s a great round up from @MalalaFund https://bit.ly/2NsTxA8
