In the continuing theme of me being shocked by state and National politicians, the Republicans on the Idaho Senate State Affairs Committee are so &@$$-bent on making a symbolic gesture to their base that they are recommending that Idaho be the only state in the US to end its
Emergency declaration, despite the fact that localities and taxpayers would have to make up the loss of $20 MM of federal funds. This just as President Biden indicates he will mobilize FEMA resources to help states vaccinate more citizens, but I am not sure FEMA can assist a
state that does not have an emergency declaration in effect. So more taxes and less vaccine? Republicans - explain that to seniors living on a fixed income and who have yet to even be eligible for the vaccine yet.
