It's shocking to me how widespread hatred and disgust of men and masculinity is in the lgbtq+ community. Especially the disregard, ignorance, or outright denial we face when we speak up about our oppression.
Like I'm sorry to tell you this but blanket statements of disgust for all men and saying "ew imagine liking men" are transphobic, homophobic, and mspecphobic all in one but y'all don't care because you've made hating men a personality trait.
Sorry I don't find your jokes funny when men are 4x more likely to attempt suicide than women with gay men more than twice as likely to attempt. When 31% of trans men have been sexually assaulted and 29% have experienced hate crimes and those stats are from *2011*
Not only that but the demonization of men has pushed so many trans men and masculine nb folks back into the closet and some have even considered detransitioning because of the vicious hatred of men.
And we haven't even gotten into how it ostrasizes people who feel attraction to men further pushing bi, pan, omni wlw further out of wlw spaces thereby furthering political lesbian/t*rfs/queerphobes goals of splitting the lgbtq+ community so they can strip our rights one by one.
Just because some members of the community have been somewhat normalized, namely cis white gays, doesn't mean you can ignore the struggles the rest of us face. I'm not asking you to lift up the voices of mlm/nblm and trans men and transmascs above others I'm just asking that you-
-stop disregarding us and driving us out of the community and, especially in the case of trans men, stop actively silencing us when we speak about our oppression
