As a consumer of products (including media) you need to always have a critical eye about where the money you give to these businesses and streamers is going.
Ex. Twitch takes 50% of each channel subscription whereas Patreon takes 5% - 12%

Also the bigger the company behind the show, the more places the money is supposed to go. So many YouTube channels have expanded to the point of having multiple shows and employees/contractors.
Where's the money going? Is a proportionate amount of the profit going towards supporting the workers in front and behind the camera that make the shows you love so much?
And don't take the company at face value. Do some digging.
