CMBYN TRIVIA TIME
All the polo shirts and a lot of Elio’s clothes come from the personal wardrobe of producer Marco Morabito. Timothée Chalamet and Marco, called Momo by the actors and the crew, have the same lanky figure, and in second stance Morabito is married to Giulia, the costume designer.
I like the blue stripe shirt from the day where the excursion on the boat and we see the statue emerge from the water. Almost all of my clothes in the film are producer Marco Morabito’s. Almost everything I wear in the movie is his.” - Timothée Chalamet
To celebrate the ending of the shooting of Call Me By Your Name the art department created this shirt that they gave to the cast and crew.
“I made Esther speak a dialogue that is from  J'entends plus la guitare  which is the masterpiece from Phillipe Garrel. It’s at the end of the movie when they finally meet, and they speak about being friends for life. That was a nice mise en abyme.“ - Luca Guardagnino

The winter scenes were filmed, as the rest of the movie, in May and June.
They used special effects to make it look like it was snowing.
It was director Luca Guadagnino’s idea to move the locations of Call Me By Your Name from Bordighera (or B. as it is referred in the book) in Liguria, and from Sicily (as was in James Ivory’s screenplay) to a little town in the middle of Lombardy, called Crema.
This particular scene was shot in front of his former home, which has also become one of the focal points of interest for the fans who go there.
Before it premiered at Sundance. It had already made the rounds at several festivals, before screening at the New York Film Festival in October, where it garnered 10 full minutes of a sustained, standing ovation. That’s more than any other movie in the festival’s 55-year history.
