The people in the pieces always seem like decent sorts who were sold a complete lie. But also, I think of how these people ignored the warnings, disregarded the xenophobia, took no account of *who* was telling the lies, didn’t care about the impact on neighbouring countries. /2

And almost always there is this grim and unapologetic sense of British superiority. They are only sorry because it hasn’t worked out for them. As I said, I don’t know what to think. There’s too much going on. 3/3
