thinking about how the question "what are you doing?" probably became a negative thing to tommy after exile, where he had to think of what he was doing wrong rather than actually answer with what he was doing /dsmp

like. dream asked him "what are you doing?" and that would usually mean "why do you still have your armour?", "where are your valuables?", "why haven't you given me your tools?". it never ACTUALLY meant smtg like "what are you doing? are you chopping down trees?" etc.

after leaving logstedshire, when he was asked the question, he had to think about what he had done wrong. "did i hide everything?", "do i have to give them my armour?", stuff like that, before realising he was safe, and that he could answer truthfully
