I would like to discuss a few things with you regarding Setsuna's Human and Demon energy.
A synopsis: Setsuna loses her Human energy through the Dream Butterfly and her Demon one is sealed by Miroku. (These are mostly speculations and some facts) 👇

1. We know for a fact that Setsuna is unable to transform to a Human on the night of the New Moon because of the Dream Butterfly. If the Butterfly is stealing human energy from her, then the effect of the New Moon can't be applied to her since there is no human part in her.

2. The Seal on Setsuna is placed by Miroku in order for her Demon Blood to be sealed. Why did Miroku need to do this? If Setsuna has no human energy in her then there is nothing to balance her demon blood. She is a half demon, so the strength of the blood is too strong for her.

Key differences between her and Inuyasha.
Inuyasha's Tessaiga is also a tool to keep his demon blood in check, but even so in dire situations it is shown that Inuyasha has lost control even with Tessaiga. Setsuna is different in that aspect. +++

Her demon blood is not just "kept in control". With the seal in place she can never transform.
Another difference is that Setsuna seemed to have control while Inuyasha most of the time didn't. Setsuna doesn't seem like a "berserk monster" even when transformed either.
3. When was the seal placed on her? Was it after the fire, or was it at the time she joined Kaede's village (in essence returning back home)? An important detail is that Setsuna has full recollection of who Miroku is and that he placed the seal on her. +++

Setsuna has no recollection of the past but she seems to have a point of where her memories began being intact. The effect of the Butterfly remains on her but the Butterfly stops taking her memories away.What if her arrival "back home" was the ending of her further memory loss?🤔
Maybe that's why she remembers Miroku, she remembers her Demon Slayer comrades and etc. Did something happen tho and Miroku took such measures? Or was it simply to protect her? But still, why seal it completely? Does Miroku know that the Butterfly has stolen her memories?+++
Was this someone's plan?
Or is it that Setsuna was already losing herself to her demon blood, since there is no human energy to balance it? She did seem to have some control over it as in she was either used to it, or it was becoming her nature. +++
Is her arrival at the village a "catalyst" of events for her? No more "attacks" of the Butterfly, but sealing of her demon blood in the process?
That explains why Setsuna doesn't exhibit incredible power. Instead joining the Demon Slayers to strengthen what's left of herself. ++
