There are so many factors that play into if a person has the access to create a costume from scratch. Money, time, physical disabilities, a good workspace, ect. Hell sometimes you just don't feel like making one! And that's ok! That's why buying costumes is awesome!
Bought costume quality has gone up a LOT since I started! Even I'm blown away at how great bought costumes look now a days! So if you wanna buy your costume, DO IT! If you wanna make it, DO IT! Do whatever makes YOU happy!
