1/ After the Lopez, "this land is your land" wankfest, its worth remembering, Spain invaded America in 1492 under the Crown of Castile & the Spanish Conquistadors. 80% of the indigenous people (10s of millions) were killed in the first 100years from genocide, slavery & disease
2/ Then The Dutch swanned in in around 1615 to colonise it and use it as a trading post for the Dutch West India Company that purely supplied slaves for American plantations.
4/ yes, Britain wasn't perfect, but what we did do is set up the West African Naval squadron to police the coast and stop slavery. We lost 1500 men ourselves and many freed slaves joined our navy.

We did this despite being at war with the French

5/ The French who under Napoleon wanted to relegalise slavery and cancel Britains " Act for the Abolition of the Slave Trade", which, we were ONLY able to enforce because of the size of the Empire.

6/ I'm getting bit f**ing sick of Britain being blamed for everything, and people not knowing their history.

OUR British, (all of us, whatever background) actually have a really bloody amazing country to be proud of.
