Tired of seeing all the tweets that you can feed a child for two weeks on £20-30. What about the other items needed? Emergency items?

As a single mum for years, yes £20-30 can do it but at the cost of what else? I myself had many nights sipping tea with a slice of toast to ensure that £20-30 goes further. Also giving up on eating my cultures food. Let’s not mention the gas/electric needed to cook said food.
Children are hungry and often having to ride out the pain of common illnesses. They are often sick more often due to not having a nutritional diet. This government pretends to have the conversations about child poverty but really, they don’t care.
One would not expect child poverty on these scales in the bragged about 5th richest country in the world who also have the audacity to place the word Great in their title.
