I was taking a nap, when I heard loud banging on a door. Hopped up, grabbed my glasses, went to the door, slowly opened it and was looking at 4 sheriff's deputies, fully armed and ready to proceed into the apartment across from me. I asked if everything was okay, and one of them
affirmed that it was. He then asked me if I knew who lived there. "Yes, they're a Black family with children. I don't know their names, but there are children in that home, so please keep that in mind when you claim to be in fear for your life and draw your weapons. I hope your
cameras are on, and that you actually have the correct address." The deputy with the paperwork said, " The person we're looking for is a White male. Ma'am, do you know where the main office is?" I gave them directions, they thanked me for my help, then left. I shut the door
and cried out of relief that they weren't home and that the family wouldn't be harmed. None of the deputies were wearing masks, but most concerning to me was that they didn't do the research to determine who actually resides in that apartment. I'm convinced that they'd have shot
first, then the bullshit apology/feared for my life to justify the assault/loss of life/trauma. All I could think about was that family had they been home, might've suffered loss of life because law enforcement didn't do the work they're required to do before executing a warrant.
My heart is still pounding right now...

I apologize for not putting a warning on my tweet thread. I apologize for anything triggering and traumatic...

I'm just now realizing that had I reached into my pocket for my phone so I could record them, they'd have shot me...
Update: Those assholes were at the WRONG FUCKING BUILDING. They found the person they were seeking, and guess what? He was taken into custody unharmed. Had they checked the big ass sign on the front of this building, they'd have known they were in the wrong place...
I need a bottle of wine and a joint rn. If anyone wants to help me with this, my cash tag is $CocoaDreadi and my PayPal link is in my bio. Thank you so much...
