selfie chains are fun and all but can pose risk for people under threat of doxxing. 2/
some trans and non-binary people don’t want to put their face in their pfp because selfies can trigger dysphoria. 3/
and some people just don’t want their face on the public internet for whatever reason from employment to personal preference. 2/
usually, it’s pretty simple to vet accounts whether or not they show their face. and, people have a right to whatever level of privacy makes them comfortable. /fin
