Use the fact that there is little empirical evidence as an opportunity to complete your own action research together as a school and enjoy the journey
Remind teachers that pedagogy trumps format and 1 or 2 simple tools can be effective to translate best practice into online world-not about being tech wizard
Use a CPL google classroom to regularly share best practice and tips and celebrate the wins
Build in oodles of time for collaborative planning. Cognitive load is high so teachers need to be absolutely clear and fluent in curriculum they teaching
Build in buffers to support wellbeing and help teachers to balance synchronous and asynchronous teaching appropriately so they are empowered to choose right tools for them
Let staff see best practice best practice by setting up a dummy CPL classroom and getting teachers to experience a lesson as a student
Give curriculum areas time to distill what makes best practice in remote learning for their subject specific pedagogy
Establish peer observations so all teachers get feedback on their practice in a supportive way
