To all the loud voices, amplified by pretty much the whole of media, who are so determined to hold on to all road space exclusively for motors. I would not suggest that every scheme is perfect, but it feels like all are opposed. Active travel is asking for so little....

...zoom out a mental map of your city and think of the roads. Think of the very few impediments to motor vehicles, where they must give way. Then think of the motorways, the multi story car parks all across the land. Is there really no alternative?

Sometimes there isn’t. I have to hire cars on occasion, and of course I am then a driver. People in rural environments often have little choice. But don’t nip this in the bud, please. In many towns and cities we can be working towards a better, quieter, healthier future. End.
