THREAD: Let's take a look at the WR from the 2018 & 2019 classes that fit into our range of 6'0-6'2. Take a look at the parameters in my pinned tweet for what makes a 'Hit' at the 80% mark. WR we will look at:
Dante Pettis-18
DJ Moore-18
Calvin Ridley-18
AJ Brown-19
JJAW-19

Highly contested player heading into his 2nd year. Clearly has been a total flop. In my data, he comes up short in a few areas: BMI 24.99, Yd Dom 18.2%, and Adj Age Hit Rate. In rookie drafts of 2018, Dante Pettis would have received a big

He checked all the boxes for our categories. You dont need me to tell you he's a stud. The point is to show how our process is effective. Moore's closest comp as a prospect would have been Amari Cooper. Which has pretty much come to fruition. HERE'S THE KICKER!! cont...

If you take all of our normal parameters for 6'0-6'2 WR, but increase the BMI to > 28.05 (Moore has 28.48), there is a 100% hit rate on a WR1 season (top 12). Those WR include:
D. Adams
Juju Smith-Schuster
Michael Crabtree
Hakeem Nicks
D. Hopkins
Dez Bryant
Andre Johnson
AJ Brown

Obviously a stud. He meets all of our criteria for a 'hit' at the 80% mark. The only gripe for Ridley is that he comes in low on our BMI parameters at 25.4. (min 25.25) You could classify him as a minor outlier in that regard but fits clearly into our range.

Basically everything that was said for DJ Moore - reiterate it here for AJ Brown. You dont need me to tell you he is a top notch dynasty asset regardless of position. But coming out, he checked all of our parameters with flying colors.. cont

Like DJ Moore, AJ Brown was a prime candidate for the WR1 range due to the elevated BMI and he has already achieved that mark. A comp for AJ Brown would have been Andre Johnson or Dez Bryant. Not bad company to be held with.

JJAW we would have had as an
and he was not one of our parameters 'misses' based on the list I gave in the initial thread (5 guys). But JJAW came extremely close and I am not afraid to say I probably would have been willing to take a chance on him. cont..

JJAW hits all requirements except for the Adjusted Age Hit Rate which he comes in just shy of the >20.5% mark. One issue is we did not get a 40 time from him. There is a chance he would have ran outside the 4.6 requirement. Closest comp is Chad Jackson from UF '06.
In Conclusion, our 8 step process would have had a 100% success rate on each of these WR from 2018-2019. Stay tuned as we will look at other WR height ranges and dive into the 2021 rookie WR.
