I'm not the first person to bring this up but the fact that I need a bunch of different monthly subscriptions to read real journalism while conspiracy theories are free is a big big problem that we don't seem to have any plans to address
Like I have relative financial security and the number of subscriptions required to get a well rounded look at the news is still pushing it for me
Not to mention that anytime I subscribe to a paper they immediately run an op-ed that's like "A Modest Proposal but not satire" by Dr. Brett Lockheed-Martin and I immediately have to spend 3 hours on the phone trying to cancel it
