No Pressure Intro:
hearing thalia is nostalgic from the get go. the drums feel good and old school, with Orson Welles being sampled as a voice of reason throughout this project. the way logic raps on this really calls back to 2014 when he released Under Pressure. good track.

Hit My Line:
one thing i love about this project is the use of samples, and this song is a great example of it. the piano from We Got Love by Sunny is accompanied by the drum pattern of Attention by Head West. when the synths enter it’s a godsend of an instrumental. i love it.

GP4:
here logic samples Mood by Vinnyx on soundcloud and interpolates Elevators by Outkast; he wears his influences on his sleeve. some interesting wordplay and flows here. the next instalment of Growing Pains III off Under Pressure. it’s quite sinister and a good listen.

Celebration:
this song also samples We Got Love by Sunny, and the drums from One Man Band by Monk Higgins. Logic seems really charismatic on this and the chorus is really catchy. he talks about his come up and has really clever bars. the different flows he uses are great.

Open Mic\\\\Aquarius III
on the first part of this song, A Peace of Light by The Roots is sampled and so is Do That Stuff by Parliament. it’s good music but the second half is 100% my favourite part of the whole album. the instrumental is beautiful and the music video is amazing.

Soul Food II:
nostalgia. a crazy throwback track with some fresh twists. i love it when sequel albums put a new spin on the style of music in emulation, without calling back to the past too much. this is the perfect example of that due to the second half which is just immaculate.

Perfect:
this is just a huge “fuck you” track, a certified banger. sounds like a song that would be on a Bobby Tarantino mixtape. it samples street fighter which is pretty funny and cool. relatively short but i wish it was longer if i’m honest. love the juicy j part at the end.

man i is:
this song hands down has my favourite sample of the record with the popular Dreamflower by Tarika Blue, a DJ Screw freestyle and the trumpets from SpottieOttieDopaliscious by OutKast. really calling to roots of hip hop here and it makes for a nice listen with good bars.

DadBod:
this pleasant beat is accompanied by logic just vibing and telling stories about what it’s like to be a dad now. the way he captivates you, only by talking about the dad life, is crazy. cementing his place as an MC in the game. catchy chorus too.

5 Hooks:
the sample used here is King of the Beats by Mantronix and Grown Up Calls by Toro Y Moi. i loved that he called it this because of how many hooks are on this record. logic uses all his energy; it’s just an optimistic song with the best lyric on the album in my opinion.

Dark Place:
this is the most powerful track on the record and i’m surprised that logic didn’t initially intend for this to be on here. this is the most raw i’ve seen him, he talks about his struggles with dealing with hate online as a public figure and much more. it’s emotional.

A2Z:
this is essentially an alphabet rap for logic’s son, who we hear in the first few seconds. it’s a fun track with an interesting purpose. the second part is an old verse that logic did when he was younger and it makes you realise how far this man has come in his career.

Heard Em Say:
Lies Through the 80s by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band is the sample here and this is the best song on the entire album, i knew it was as soon i heard those drums kick in. it’s a very motivational track to get you through the day. one of his best songs ever as well.

Amen:
this is just logic saying thank you for everyone who has supported him in his career and how grateful he is to be in the position that he’s in. it samples It’s Your Thing by Cold Grits and it’s just a great track overall, i love the piano that’s used in the instrumental.
