Many of the leaders of this country--the elected officials and other government agents--appear to be very concerned about "the grievances" of individuals like those who broke about every so-called law imaginable in their storming of the U.S. Capitol.
If they are truly "concerned," then they must begins with calling those grievances by their real name: bigotry.
Wanting to put Central and South American people as well as others from around the world seeking asylum at the Southern border of the U.S. in cages at the border is not a grievance; it's bigotry.
Wanting to prevent Black people from achieving liberation is not a grievance; it's bigotry.
Wanting to keep women secondary and subjugated is not a grievance; it's bigotry.
Wanting to prevent people from doing whatever they want with their *own* bodies is not a grievance; it's bigotry.
Wanting to prevent LGBTQIA+ people from accessing all the rights and privileges afforded to non-LGBTQIA+ people is not a grievance; it's bigotry.
Wanting to deny disabled, blind, deaf/hard of hearing, neurodiverse people access to just about any and everything is not a grievance; it's bigotry.
Wanting to convert the entire world to Christianity, by force if necessary, is not a grievance; it's bigotry.
Wanting to hoard and steal land and resources, murder the weak, unprotected, and marginalized wantonly, and ravage the planet that all of us share is not a grievance; it's destruction.
And there can be no redress, no restoration, no evolution, no unity, and no healing when those with the power to facilitate such are complicit in refusing to call genocide and its offspring by their real names.
