1) Repeal of SB4: HB 1236 by Chairman @RafaelAnchia & SB 92 by Senator @Menendez4Texas

Now we are hearing from Fátima Menendez, an attorney for @MALDEF.
"SB4 hurts our community members and cultivates distrust in our communities."
Now we will hear from Chairman @RafaelAnchia and Senator @Menendez4Texas about their pursuit to do away with unjust and harmful policy, as well as their plans to protect everyone in our communities moving forward.
"SB4 was created to prey on the immigrant community. The effects are clear: fear and division between police officers and the communities they are meant to serve." - Senator @Menendez4Texas
"It is beyond angering, which is why I filed SB 92 which would completely repeal SB 4." - Senator @Menendez4Texas
"Laws like 'driving while Brown' have no place in Texas. We must continue the fight to make Texas a safe place for EVERYONE." - Senator @Menendez4Texas
Now we will hear from our Chairman @RafaelAnchia and his thoughts on the harm of SB 4. He will also talk about his bill HB 1236.

"No one wanted SB 4. Law enforcement didn't want it to passed. Eight people testified in favor of this bill while 600 testified against it. I wish I could get my bills passed when 600 people testify against it and only 8 people support it."
