Thread (1/5) President Biden’s blitz of divisive unilateral executive actions yesterday directly conflict with his rhetoric about the need to unify the country. These executive orders and proposals — bypassing Congress to rejoin the flawed Paris Climate Accord,
(2/5) ending the Keystone XL pipeline and other projects that help make America energy independent, opening our borders to terrorist threats and drug cartel caravans, canceling a commission to promote the teaching of traditional American history in schools,
(3/5) and pledging to restart the disastrous Iran nuclear deal — do not represent an agenda to unify the country. And these actions come on top of President Biden’s refusal to call on the Senate to stop a politically charged impeachment trial
(4/5) after President Trump has already left office and a reckless proposal to add another $1.9 trillion to the national debt to bail out mismanaged blue states before the $4 trillion borrowed from last year has even been fully deployed.
(5/5) This is a hyperpartisan agenda that betrays the President’s words about healing and unity yesterday and it will further divide an already divided country. Bad start for Biden.
