A bit of cringey seeing philosophical masculinity expressed so clearly.

Hiring committee members, including chairs, might consider having a public conversation about their expectations in response. https://twitter.com/DailyNousEditor/status/1352239750762127360
Alright, I need to say more about this.

"Wuss" is such a clear tell in this listicle. "Don't be a wuss," is another way of saying "Don't be weak." I think it's also quite clear (as others have pointed out), that it's a dog whistle for "Don't be a pussy."
"Don't be weak," does even more to associate productivity with strength and with power than is already a problem in the productivity literature.
When we take "Don't be weak," add it to a disciplinary culture that is already ableist, already white-dominant, already dominated by men, we get the very clear implication that success is identified not just with a particular kind of inaccessible research out, but person.
So, who is the wuss? Anyone not living up to the norms of white, able-bodied masculinity. But *obviously* those norms are *shitty* with respect to their content, and the world they lead to, and for those who by living up to them end up running into competing norms.
Women who aren't "wusses"--they're not going to be rewarded by this, because they'll be seen as "bitches" or (just rereading radicallesbians recently) man-hating, career-myopic feminists.
There are related stereotypes that cut across "don't be a wuss" this of course: Tommy Curry has spoken about his treatment vis-a-vis productivity as a black man in philosophy (see his Dialogues on Disability interview in 2015), as have others.
No mention in the listicle that you should stop doing domestic labour to be more productive huh? Hmm.

No talk of (as others have pointed out) the differing amounts of time it takes people to write huh? Hmm.

No talk of taking time off from your PT job to write huh? Hmm
