/ Jonathan Taylor exposed a massive bribery scheme in the oil and gas industry operated by his former employer, Dutch-based SBM Offshore. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-54734371
/ Jonathan has spent 177 days and counting detained in Croatia and fighting extradition to Monaco due to what appears to be a retaliatory complaint filed against him by SBM Offshore.
/ In 2017, SBM Offshore paid a US$238 fine for their criminal conduct, yet the man who exposed the wrongdoing continues to be subject to unjust extradition threats. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-sbm-offshore-corruption-idUSKBN1DT3JV
/ Jonathan, a UK citizen, has not been charged with any crimes in Monaco or elsewhere. The only “crime” he appears to have committed was to blow the whistle on the criminal conduct of SBM Offshore.
/ We are calling on Monaco and Croatia to drop extradition proceedings, on the UK Government to intervene, and for the @Europarl_EN to condemn the treatment of Jonathan Taylor.
