There are a few things that disabled people have concerns for that may not be understood by abled-bodied people:
-We have to keep fighting for chronic pain sufferers to get opioids though we know that opioids are bad. Sometimes it makes a huge difference in quality of life.

-We will question taking vaccines because many of us do get bad reactions. This does not mean we are anti-vaxxers. I can't do flu shots because I get the flu from them and once had to be hospitalized cuz I couldn't breath.
This is between the patient & their doc to decide.

-We may not choose to do things that prolong our life and instead opt for quality of life, things that make us happy. Living in pain 24/7 for the next 30 years for me doesn't sound appealing. Sometimes junk food is all I can stomach.

There is a lot more I could add too but we disabled people are not a monolith but just want autonomy over ourselves. I just ask that you please try to understand.
Thank you.
