Despite our organizing and the overwhelming research, last night, the Norfolk Public Schools voted 4-3 to keep armed police in schools. I am disappointed. But @prisonculture & Solnit remind me that hope is a discipline, and hope requires the longview. 1/

So I'm also proud that our pressure resulted in a revised MOU that institutes transparency and accountability. And I'm proud of the foundation we built, so in two years when the MOU is back on the agenda, WE WILL WIN! 2/
