It's my birthday so I'll come clean.

Changing direction in your late 30s is as mentally and physically challenging as you expect.

But the results are definitely worth it:
A quick 🧵
I was turning 35 with two daughters, 3 & 6, AND we were pregnant with twins when I decided I was going to develop a social commerce platform for b2b wholesale.

However, I was a domain expert with no tech experience.
With the support of my wife I left my executive role to focus on the tech, saas marketing and understanding product dev.

I consult with clients so they can fund my business and education.
Its a DAILY challenge to defend the decision to risk it for this business.

I've worked nights and weekends stocking shelves in grocery.

I've become a fitness instructor as a side hustle.
During this time my mother in law had (3) brain surgeries, fought for 2 years, while my wife and I moved them into our home, relocated and managed almost all their daily lives.

She just passed in Dec. (So it goes)
On Christmas day, instead of celebrating with my family I spent it in the emergency room.

My stress had peaked and I though I had a heart attack. (I did not).
However, I'm here every day, transitioning from B2b Executive and Leader into a tech ceo.

Why? Because I believe in the vision and I want to be part of the diverse, creative, innovative future leaders who bring this to market.
Is it worth it? 100%

Do I question it daily? 100%

Will it succeed? 🤷‍♂️

Bottom line: I am more aligned, stronger and in touch with who Grady Teske is.
