#mufc has seen an upturn in form since the return of Bailly. He has started 8 games, conceding 11 goals, 6 of them against Spurs. If we consider the Spurs game an anomaly, we have conceded just 0.5 goals per game with him, as opposed to 1.47 goals per game without him.
Statistically, he has been excellent in comparison to some of the other central defenders in the league. He has started just 6 games, but his numbers are very promising. He hasn't been dribbled past yet and has blocked some very important shots, like against Villa. #mufc [2/6]
Without Bailly, #mufc tend to play a lower line to avoid exposing the lack of pace in our centre-backs. The average positions (bar the Sheffield United game) looks skewed and the right flank is quite open and susceptible to attacks. [3/6]
With Bailly, however, #mufc play a higher line. In 2 out of these 3 cases, only 3 players (excluding the goalkeeper) have spent more time in our half than the opposition half. The right flank looks stronger as well with Bailly covering large parts of our half. [4/6]
The game against Everton in the Carabao Cup was one of the best displays from #mufc in a very long time. With United spending all game attacking, it is interesting to note that Bailly had the second most accurate passes all game, with most of them in and around midfield. [5/6]
Despite being chaotic at times, Bailly has been undeniably great for us and something that no graph can measure is that he is pure comedy gold!
