Having and making friends with PSV's operators on your frequent route will make you one of them. They never leave theirs behind and they won't leave you. Flashing lights often and waving will ingrain your vehicle

As hard as it is, actually conversing with traffic cops on your route and giving them some bottled water will endear them to you. Take number. God forbid you'll have an accident. But if you do in their area you will be handled well

Taking note of distances between petrol stations on your route and what services are offered there will help you plan your journey better

CHEAP SAFE ACCOMMODATION

Often you'll find you can't go further than you had planned because of so many issues, including curfew. Knowing where to get a safe motel with secure parking is important
