It's not the "nuclear option" to get rid of the filibuster. It is returning Senate procedure to where it has been for most of history. The filibuster is the aberration. Majority rule is the norm.
Also: The fact that Mitch is playing hardball on the "power-sharing arrangement" should tell you everything you need to know about how the Dems should respond. Bi-partisanship is a worthy goal, but Dems should arrive at it (if it's even possible) from a position of strength.
Dems should find a way to work with some in the GOP Senate if they can...not because they have to.
