Mahmud Ghaznavi 
PROPAGANDA - Mahmud Ghaznavi was a plunderer who sacked Somnath temple and looted its riches.
FACT - The basement of the Somnath was being used for running clandestine flesh trade where shudra women were forced into sex slavery by the temple priests.(2)
On multiple requests and pleas of the Shudras of Gujarat, Mahmud decided to help them and led a raid on the Somnath temple freeing all the female prisoners in the process and distributing the temple riches among the poor.

Alauddin KhiljiAnother Muslim ruler who is extensively villainised by our "historians" is ruler of Delhi Sultanate, Alauddin Khilji.

FACT - Although he backtracked later, it was Rana Sanga of Mewar who had invited Babür to India to defeat Ibrahim Lodhi. Babür defeated Lodhi and established the great Mughal empire.
