the only times tubbo has shown vulnerability were:

- eret's betrayal ("eret, i farmed with you for hours..!")
- the festival (the "schlatt...?" really showed how scared he was)
- when he went to losgtedshire and saw /That/ tower
- the moment he found out tommy was alive
+
- the fight between him and tommy in the destroyed community house and the moment when dream yelled at him and humiliated him ("... you're right")
- and finally, yesterday, when dream made tommy choose between the discs and tubbo ("i don't want to go")

my point is to show that +
every time he's shown himself as vulnerable, quickly afterwards, he acts like nothing happened because that's how he copes. with eret's betrayal, he forgave him later. after the festival, he said technoblade was right because he didn't want them to fight. after he saw the tower +
he didn't talk about it with anyone, and wasn't able to show how hurt he was and how he blamed himself for it. when tommy called him a monster, he just stayed silent and never mentioned it again. after dream shouted at him, big q asked him how he was, but tubbo never actually +
answered properly. then his "i don't want to go" quickly turned into a plead for tommy to let him go & keep the discs, bc he knows they mean a lot to his best friend. he said he's lived enough and had a good run. if he's going to die, he doesn't want tommy to feel bad for him. +
tubbo's always shown an optimistic figure, and he's stuck with it. whenever he breaks that facade is when we see how hurt he is - but even so, barely. he always acts like everything's fine, like he's doing alright at all times, and he forgives too much. oh too much. he doesn't +
get angry not as angry enough. tubbo would gladly sacrifice everything he has now if that meant tommy would be happy, because he's lost everything and he doesn't want tommy to lose the things he has left. he doesn't want to be the cause for tommy to lose what he has left.
