My thoughts on current form ⬇️
If you're Alonso you know you're not going to play at Chelsea forever, at one point he was linked with Athletico Madrid and we know that bad form can take you from a link from Athletico to a link to a much smaller club that pays much less In wages
Jorginho's agent has linked the player to juventus knowing that he won't be here forever too, the player also knows that for the long term he has to be in the team to keep his stock high
If you're Antonio rudiger, Christiansen or Tomori etc, you have got to be in the team to keep your stock as high as possible knowing when you move on you want to play For the biggest club possible knowing a football career is short and money is important for longevity
When you have a squad as big as ours is we have too many players that will stink out the bench, or cause a level of unrest at the club knowing they will do whatever they can to get back in the team
At the same time, these players are assets to the club and that's why we will see Jorginho play over Gilmour against Fulham, protecting a asset we have invested a lot more capital in that Gilmour
That for me is the only sense I can see as to why at this point in the season the mood of the players has changed, because we have a culture where there are too many unhappy players and how is Frank supposed to manage that if we can't sell them?
I don't think we should sack frank until we have got rid of these (I'm assuming) disruptive squad players are gone and we have a tighter knit group
If you're sat around a table with your family and 1 person has a resting bitch face the whole family knows that person is in a mood and feels it, could it be the same on the training pitch? On the coach? In the dressing room?
