Rossiya 24 covered Russia’s ambassador to the US, Anatoly Antonov, saying that a possible extension of the New Start treaty – due expire in February - "might become a foundation for accumulating particles of trust, particles of mutual understanding”.
IRAN:
"Washington breathes sigh of relief," reads reformist Mardom Salari's front page headline, while government-run Iran daily celebrates "The beginning of the post-Trump era".
Iran's hardline Keyhan newspaper says: "the door still turns on the same hinges… With Biden, there's not going to be a change in their animosity towards Iran"

Some Indian news websites carried reports on celebrations in Vice President Kamala Harris' ancestral village in the southern state of Tamil Nadu.
Commenting on Biden overturning Trump’s travel ban, Bangladesh’s Dhaka Tribune carried an editorial headlined: "Our long international nightmare is over."
A correspondent on Ukraine's 1+1 TV: "Biden is very well aware of Ukraine's reality and its politicians. Therefore, things will become both easier and more difficult for Ukraine with US help. This president will only finance reforms, not their appearance"
