Plug for my husband @oscredwin: as a stay-at-home dad during quarantine, he could use more online pals to chat with *during the day*, like 11-3 EST. I’m throwing it out to the world of Twitter to see if any of you guys have interests in common with him.
Fun stuff Andrew’s into:

*retro gaming

*dad jokes

*analyzing movies & TV, more from the point of view of “does this directorial choice work for the story?” than “is this good politics?”
Serious stuff he’s into:

*non-tribal, well-informed discussion of US politics. The kind that tries to get the facts, remembers the last few administrations, and mistrusts sources that make a lot of false predictions.

Tough to find these days, I know.
*Economics-inspired analysis of business strategy & marketing problems. He used to do this for a living, helping small businesses figure out how much to charge, how to get customers, etc.

I ask him for advice all the time and he’s super good. Clarifies my thinking. Try it!
*Econ-inspired analysis of the entertainment industry. What strategies are Netflix and HBO and Nintendo pursuing? Is that smart or are they shooting themselves in the foot? Separately, how will that shape creative choices in TV/movies/games?
*COVID19 analysis, with an emphasis on trying to make good predictions & practical decisions.

He’s on team “Shots In Arms Now”, as am I.
If my endorsement’s not enough, consider: Andrew is one of the 586 people @paulg follows.
Andrew is a smart, chill dude in an age notably lacking in smartness and chill. You want to make friends with this man.
