praying 🧵: tips & advice
if you’re struggling to start, begin with one prayer and ask Allah for guidance and to open yourself up to him.
what a lot fail to understand is that salah is a privilege, it is not a chore. we are beyond privileged that we have the chance to stand in front of Allah, and not juss once but 5 different prayers.
make your schedule revolve around your salah, not the other way around. always incorporate your salah first into your schedule, it should always be the #1 priority, read that again.
praying daily pulls you away from haram things slowly but surely, i’ve seen a difference with my daily life.
stop putting it off, stop saying you’ll start praying when you’re older. you’re a muslim now. your deen shouldn’t start at a specific age.
your salah is the base of your religion, your imaan will fall apart without it.
(الصلاة عمود الدين) = (prayer is the pillar of religion).
it’s having a conversation with Allah, many fail to see how much of a blessing this is SubhanAllah.
once you start, it’ll become your “peace”. for example, if you miss or delay a prayer, you’ll feel uneasy & empty. it’ll be your escape from the rest of the world.
i know you’ve all heard this but wallah salah helps with depression, it’s not a cure but it does help greatly & i know from experience.
once you begin to perceive salah as a privilege rather than a burden, it’ll be something to look forward to & something that you won’t be able to put off throughout the day.
