Yesterday, I presented parts of my doctoral dissertation at @ClassesElites.
I thought I should make a thread with some links and comments on the talk.

First of all, the analysis that compares Oesch and and EGP style schema over time is published in Swedish in Politica, but also in English in my dissertation.
They are available for download here:

English: https://gupea.ub.gu.se/handle/2077/60085

The panel analysis is only published in the dissertation, and unfortunately not avaliable to download, as I have not yet gotten around to publishing it in a journal.
If you want a physical copy of the dissertation, just DM me and I'll send you one by mail (no cost for you).

I also want to clarify something that I suspect I botched a little bit in my talk:
At one point I talked about how, when you think more closely about it, most occupations can actually be framed by many different political values.

The point I was trying to make is that one can imagine alternative explanations as to why some occupations are associated with certain political values.
Here is the full section on this in my dissertation. (These are actually some of the sentences that I'm the most proud of.)

Some of these explanations are pretty difficult to test more generally. But I'd still say they have a lot of plausibility in them. At least as much as the concept of work logics.
That was all, I think. Thank you so much to @MagneFlemmen for the invitation, and to @asblad @asaplsnr @RasmussenMagnus @DavidAttewell6 @PeterLangst @LWestheuser @maren_toft @Afrogne and many others for attending. Best audience ever!
(By best audience ever, I mean an audience that both asks interesting questions and talks up your results. :) )
