Morning <insert handle>, I wanted to share something that I discussed last night with <someone> about imposter syndrome especially for new jobs. It seems that a lot of people feel imposter syndrome most when they are about to start a new job ... <cont> 👇
... and they go holy s**t can I actually do this? They look at the job spec and panic, do I really have these skills? I'm not good enough, they made a mistake!!!

Please don't do this, the company chose you because you were best for the job, they chose you because... <cont> 👇
... you demonstrated that your technical skills were appropriate, you demonstrated you have the aptitude to learn and apply your knowledge in your last job. They hired you because of who you are. And here's the rub.. <cont> 👇
Job specs don't mean s**t they are a shopping list of things a company would like or need, when you get in to the job things change, evolve just like risks. You earned your place at that company, now go out there and f**king own it. Peace out <3
