The rules don't simply classify many inessential workers as key workers and hence allow them to work, they don't just allow cleaners and trades people to come in and out of our houses, they don't just allow religious gatherings and nurseries to stay open...
They stop people from getting furlough (71% of working mothers refused), they stop people staying at home, they force individuals to expose themselves to infection and endanger the community. For many, however much you may want to avoid inessential interaction, they simply can't.
