So here's the thread
Books I have read in 2021:
I hope to keep this going just like my reading habit. My goal this year is 25 books (hopefully more).
So far I am right on track.
The joy of discovering stuff I have never read before is unreal. Twitter especially has helped a lot.
1. I loved this book so much! I thought it was going to be homophobic closeted bully falls for the one he bullies trope, but it didn't. It was beautifully written. My first bi representation in books. It tackles a lot of themes quite beautifully. Good first read of the year.
2, 3 & 4.
Words fall short to describe how I felt about this series. It made my heart warm and happy.
It tackles MH issues beautifully and has great LGBTQIA+ representation
Really captured my struggle with suddenly discovering I was bi in my teens.
Amazing characters and writing!
5. Nick and Charlie by Alice Oseman
This is just a short story/Novella which is simply a continuation of the graphic novels. It was pretty good although it dragged in places. It's a good conclusion to the graphic novel series (which is ongoing btw and soon getting a TV series!😁)
6. Red White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
A very laborious read and unnecessarily glorifies both American presidency and the British monarchy. It's more of a political fantasy than a romcom.
7. This book helped me accept my true identity on the asexuality spectrum. It also beautifully verbalized how I felt as someone who's still coming to terms with my asexuality combined with my heavy anxiety and shame surrounding it Also the couple bonds on their love for books😭😭
8. To all the boys I have loved before by Jenny Han
This was just a comfort reread to help me gain some energy for my next read.
