As we already know, The Otsutsuki clan works on a set of rules & rankings which can easily spark conflicts between members and need of validation. The fact that they are not allowed to kill each other probably shows the fact that they are aware that too much power can bring chaos
1. ISSHIKI'S MOTIVE
Isshiki is fighting to repair his mistake of letting his guard down and being defeated by Kaguya. He wants to proove to his clan that he can finish the mission of harvesting the chakra fruit & finally get his failure redeemed.

2. MOMOSHIKI'S MOTIVE
Momoshiki who only came on Earth to bring Kaguya back recklessly decided to proove himself by finishing the job her & Isshiki couldn't, taking a leader position.

After being defeated he found himself in the same position as Isshiki with no other choice but to repair his mistake and also harvest the chakra fruit.
At the end of the chain of failures they caught themselves fighting a battle of survival & need of proving their capabilities to their clan. I believe the manga will give us more information about The Otsutsuki to understand their dynamic and philosophy better.
