I know y'all think I'm too easy on Ayton. You hear his teammates are getting on him all the time about dominating, and certainly most all of twitter -- stans and skeptics alike.

But I have a different management style. I build up, not tear down. It's worked well for me in life.
Even the players, Book and Paul, aren't gushing over Ayton after this one. That's frustrating. They're drill sargenting (sp? word?) him. Maybe it's what Ayton needs. Maybe not. Constant criticism is a good short-term motivator. Not long term.
Just look at coaches like Scott Skiles, Tom Thibs, they're great for a season or so then some of the players start tuning out the constant grinding. Whereas Steve Kerr's encouraging style lasts for the long haul. Hopefully Monty's too. I'm probably overreacting here.
