When I WAS a liberal... I refused to watch Trump. I just couldn’t. Like most liberals, I didn’t see the allure. However, ppl I ❤️ & respected stood by him no matter what. So I asked them, “What are you seeing that I am blind to? Do you ever wish he didn’t tweet all that stuff?”
I was so surprised when they said, “Yes, we wish he didn’t tweet all that, but it doesn’t change what he’s done for the American people. He wasn’t voted in because he was a politician & poised, he was voted in because he wasn’t. I felt such relief that they felt as I did too, yet
they still stood by him. I went home with a better understanding and decided to put my feelings aside. I started researching the things the media never mentioned about him. Man, was I shocked. Facebook then started to censor me, just for following conservative outlets.
Well that really pissed me off, so I dug deeper. I started to watch MY party closer, and I found them to be embarrassing and classless at times. Pointing the finger while doing the things they blamed Trump for, and then realizing how hateful my liberal friends were.
I didn’t know where I stood politically anymore. I turned to prayer, for Trump, and for America. I didn’t want to pray for him, but I did it anyways. I prayed for his strength and for light in everything that was dark. When I saw him in TV, I didn’t allow any negative emotions.
Everything changed then. I saw him differently, and understood how he did things so frickin brilliantly. I turned off the media and did my own research via anything but g*oo*gle. Today, after his speech, I actually shed a tear. He was a great president, not perfect, but solid!
I am grateful I was alive during his presidency! He was nothing as he was portrayed. It must've taken massive shoulders to endure what he did to make America what it is! A lesser person couldn’t have! When I WAS a liberal, I didn’t understand, but I’m not a liberal anymore.
