No Shipping: When a "moment" or pack is purchased, it is nearly instantaneously transferred to your account compared to waiting days/weeks for an item to arrive. I believe this will also induce more foreign buyer activity since items no longer need weeks to clear customs.
No Grading: Purchasing raw cards is a crapshoot and cards take months to get back from grading. TS is able to differentiate moments (simulating grading) by limiting production on sets. Buyers no longer need to worry about buying a dud or more 10's being added to the pop. report.
Data Availability: A major challenge in collecting is the availability of clean data. It's almost impossible to know if a transaction on eBay was actually paid for or if there was any shill bidding involved. As TS is on a blockchain, all transaction data is readily available.
Accessibility: Finding sports cards at retail right now is almost impossible as "flippers" often wait for the vendor to stock the shelves. TS is facing their own challenges with pack releases, but I believe in their ability to utilize tech to solve these problems
Culture Blend: Top Shot likely appeals to the younger generation as it shares many similarities with collecting Fortnite Skins and players for FIFA Ultimate Team. TS also likely appeals to older generations who grew up collecting Sports/Pokemon Cards.
Everything Else: Top Shot will likely benefit from the recent revival of sports cards and memorabilia. As items are digital, collector's don't need to worry about paying insurance on their items. Finally, Top Shot has relatively low seller's fees at only 5%.
As @garyvee recently said, "The digital card is inevitable"
