Heads up: In the coming days you are likely going to find yourself thinking about Trump: wondering what he's doing, what he's thinking of all that's going on, etc. You might even find yourself wishing he could tweet so you could know the answers to these questions (1/3)
You might even find yourself a little tiny bit feeling bad for him and wondering "was he really THAT bad? Maybe he didn't deserve all this hate?"

These are symptoms of abuse! Seriously. (2/3)
When people are abused/oppressed their lives depend on being able to put themselves in their abuser/oppressor's shoes in order to predict what their next moves will be. We learn to anticipate our own oppressor/abuser's needs to prevent more violence and harm. (3/3)
This learned behavior is so much like empathy that it's confusing for our brains and even after the abuse is over, we continue to think and even feel for our abusers (4/4 actually)
And MEDIA, we are counting on you to help us keep him out of our thoughts. Unless it's about his trial and conviction, no air time for him.
