Today, my home was filled to the brim with eleven children between 3 young Catholic families. My hallways echoed with giggles and crocodile tears and pleas for diaper changes. My friends and I drank champagne and ate pizza and brownies.
We shared the uneasy reality that for us, life is most probably going to become very difficult. We have no idea what our children will have to suffer. And yet, we rejoiced. We rejoiced in the true friendship of families caravaning to Heaven. We rejoiced in the sacraments...
...we were able to receive this holy morning. We rejoiced in our life, our sweetness, and our hope: that the temporal world we pass through is our blessed opportunity to know, love, and serve God. To love each other. To raise up our children as souls sojourning to eternal bliss.
We rejoiced and laughed in the face of devils and evildoers.

Take everything you want, liars and thieves. We've got what truly counts, and we will treasure it. We will pass it on to our children. We will give our lives for it. And we will end up with the greatest Prize.
