Here are Joe Biden's approval ratings mapped out across all 50 states. Blue is approve, orange is disapprove. Nationwide, his approval rating is 47%, and his disapproval rating is 48%, a 1 point deficit per @Civiqs. (More info in thread)
Here's the data by age and education. One of the things that stands out is his low favorable rating among people aged 18-34 (only 46%). This may be due to left-wing progressives (mainly young) who don't like Biden. For context, Trump's approval among this demographic is only 30%.
To further back this up, here is the Biden approval map among the age 18-34 demographic. His margins are noticeably lower in blue states, particularly the most progressive states such as Oregon, where his approval rating is only 46% compared to 45% disapproval.
To continue, here are his approvals by gender and party. A very strong male-female split is noticeable.
And here are Biden's approvals by race. Biden has high disapproval among whites and high approval among all other races.
Please note that approval ratings are not at all a way of determining election results. A candidate may have a high disapproval rating in a state, but that does not mean they can't win it.
For example, Biden has a -3% approval rating in Wisconsin. This may seem bad for him in a state that he won in November, until you also recognize that Trump has an approval deficit of -9%, a few points worse. In every state Biden won, he had a lower disapproval rating than Trump.
